Rusty bit the dust!

If you have been keeping up with our blog...you know we got a bunny named Rusty. Well Rusty and I had a little accident on Wednesday and he is no longer with us. Caroline is excited because she says he is in heaven with God. I have never felt so quilty in all my life.

So please meet our new EDITIONS! June and Quincy. They wanted to name them Blacky and Whitey. I didn't really like those names so we talked about it tonight and they renamed them. These names come from the cartoon Little Einsteins. The black one is June and the White/black one is Quincy. Don't ask what I was thinking when I bought two, but call me a sucker. I'm going to do my best not to kill these two.

It was so beautiful outside today we cleaned the car up, which if you know me is a big deal, because I have such a hard time keeping it clean. Here is a picture of the clean car. WE are really going to try to keep it clean. Hope you enjoy the pics of the new bunny!

Hello from the Potts' family! We are having a crazy week here and it is only Tuesday. I am still working extra hours at church in childcare for Pageant. Friday is the last night and we are all off next week for spring break. It will be a much needed break for all of us.

Rusty is doing great. The kids (especially Caroline) want to take care of or carry him all the time. Here are some pictures of him with the kids and outside.

Our new edition!

Everyone knows I'm a sucker. We got a bunny today. His name is Rusty and his fur is the same color as Nick's hair. I'm not sure you can tell in the picture. The kids are so excited about him. He just hops around. We are keeping him in the garage and let him out to hop around for a couple hours today. John even likes him. He is very tame and hasn't tried to bite anyone. Enjoy the pictures.

This is a pic of John and Caroline from Monday night before the Easter pageant. They take good pictures together.

Ok sorry for the lack of postings. We have been busy and have had company since Sunday. My mom came for a visit so we have been running around everywhere. The kids had tennis on Tues. and Nick got in trouble 4 times and had to sit in a chair. Even though I was not happy with him...it was sort of funny. (bc the way Coach Travis deals with them). You will be glad to know I made him apologize to him after practice. Then we went to the Easter pageant. Which was wonderful. The cross broke when they were nailing him to it and they had to do it again. Oops! But it is a wonderful production and I wish everyone could see it. Last night we watched American Idol and our girl Mandisa is in the top 11 now. Yeah! You can go online and order a t shirt at traviscottrell.com They are $10. And he was in the audience with his wife Angela last night. I think it is so wonderful that he is supporting her the way he is. I took NIck to the Allergist this morning and he is doing good. we will be starting back on allergy shots after he goes 3 months without having to take steroids. They changed is antihistamine and his spirometer was 97% which is awesome! Especially since he hadn't had his breathing treatment yet. Tonight I had to work at church for pageant. It was pretty slow not a lot of kids tonight. Several are out sick.

The kids are doing good. After Monday nights pageant performance Caroline got to pet a little lamb and now she wants one to live in the back yard. She says we can build a little barn for it. They definitely love animals. HOpe everyone is doing well. I have been instructed not to use blue fonts anymore so I won't. Sorry if they were hard to read. I don't have any pics wither. I will try to take some tomorrow and post again.

We love you all!

A day with Riley...And Aunt Mel!

What a day. Caroline had dance in the morning then we were meeting Aunt Mel and Riley at Dee's (sorry dd), but due to giggles business she was running a little late, which left us time to run home and change Caroline's clothes before meeting her. We had lots of fun at Dee's shopping for spring stuff and scrapbook stuff. I am redoing the kids baby books and needed some paper to go with some specific pics. The kids ate kix cereal and fruit snacks while we shopped. Yes they did end up on the floor, but Aunt Mel put a stop to that real quick. Yes she also had to do all the pushing. I don't know what we are going to do when Riley won't let me push him anymore. After Dee's we ran through old Mcdonalds and got the kids lunch. then headed to my house.

The kids played so well together and had such a great time. The pictures are great. The one of Caroline and Riley on the porch using chalk we will have blown up for their wedding Hehe! I thought that was a great idea I had look at them. They are perfect for each other. We tried to ride bikes, but Riley was so amazed at Nick's biking ability he just stared at him. It also could have been the very loud noises he was making while riding.

Aunt Mel brought Valentine's goodies the kids loved. This pic is one of my favorite bc all of them are so interested in what she is doing. They had fun with that.

Awe, I finally got my birthday present (we have been trying to get together since before my birthday if that tells you how hard it has been) I got a tv tray for the bathroom. Now while I"m doing my business I can surf the web. Jason has never had a better idea...oh except marrying Mel and having Riley. I didn't take a picture of the first use of the tray. I didn't think it pic worthy.

We had a great day with them and it was worth waiting for. The kids also had a great time and want to know when Riley is coming back. OH yeah and why Aunt Mel only brought 3 cookies. Kids are so funny. I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I have.

Ok so somebody is out to get me when it comes to phones. I came home from dinner Saturday night and the screen had gone out on the phone Melanie gave me to replace the one I dropped in my diet coke. So after a long conversation with cingular I am the proud owner of a new pink rarz. I have included a pic for those of you that wanted to see. That is what we did this morning and now we are sitting in the living room floor doing school. We are working on numbers. and then we will start some word recognition. What fun. I also have to work tonight for pageant practive. that is not fun. Oh well I'm sure the money will come in handy.

Hope everyone is well. DD give the girls hugs and kisses from us and tell them hi. Aunt Carol the kids say hi! They are sitting beside me.

We had a very slow day here. Both kids woke up with fevers. All they wanted to do was lay in my bed and watch cartoons. Especially the Backyardigans, which is our new favorite. Their fever broke while we were taking a nap. We all woke up sweating like crazy.

I taught my scrapbook class tonight, which went fine. It is raining really hard right now and we are supposed to have storms tonight. But it is in the 60's. We are looking forward to the weekend. This is a picture I took of Caroline tonight. This is her favorite gown (night dress) and her princess shirt. She is making a fashion statement.

Back to the real world today! We needed to get out of the house for awhile after all the sickness. We are still not 100%, but hopefully on the mend. We had a good outing today.

The science center has a new exhibit about the animals that live around us. Caroline didn't really enjoy this, but Nick loved it. You got to crawl through a cave and see what animals live there and why the rocks look the way they do. Then we headed off to the kid zone with is there favorite play place. They have a new astronaut suit that Caroline tried on. Isn't she too cute. I told her she could go to space one day if she wanted to. I used to! Nick was piloting the airplane. I asked what city we were going to and he told me we were going to a building.

After the science center we picked up some ingredients we needed for dinner. I fixed a new pasta dish tonight which was great! Then went for a walk after dinner with dad. All and all it was a great day!

This last picture is of Nick from the weekend playing dress up. Check out the purple shoes.

Another crazy day at the Potts' house! We spent the day getting a chest xray and seeing the dr with Nick. They had to make sure he didn't have pneumonia before they could give him some cough medicine that he desperately needed. So he is pneumonia free and his asthma is under control. He did his first spirometer today and he did great. One time he even blew out all the candles, which is how they tell what your lung function is. I was very proud of him.

Off to the grocery after getting home from the dr. We are taking it easy tonight and going to bed early!

Jason hope you got home safe. You and Mel have a good weekend and enjoy your date!

Happy BIrthday to me!

WEll, we're back! Here is a picture from Yesterday. Wow, we look bad don't we. I went to the dr first thing tuesday morning, they weren't sure if I had the flu or not. Since I am feeling 100% better today I don't think I did, but whatever it was made me feel horrible. Then Caroline starting running a fever of 104.3. THat freaked me out. So basically we just laid in the bed all day, but we are making up for it today. It is so nice outside today.

John was home yesterday. We had to have a new water heater put in for a wopping $663. Happy birthday to me! Nick kept running around saying the fixin' man was here. He enjoyed watching the work he did. When the fixin' man was finished NIck went down to inspect the work. After all that John took the kids for a walk.

Since it wasn't a very good birthday we are pretending it is Friday so I get to enjoy it. Oh well nobody said turning 32 would be easy!

Ok now for today! It is beautiful outside. We have been out most of the day. The kids rode their bikes, dig in the dirt, play ball, etc. I also stripped all the beds, and lysoled everything. The beds, pillows, bed frames, and the bathrooms. I am ready for a lot of wellness in this house.

Carol, Don't we have a picture of Granny in glasses like these?
