Well it is 1:00 am and I am sitting outside because the house is so very hot even with the ac on. You hear lots of noises that can't be explained when your out here like this. Oh well just trying to cool off.

I have lots of pics and some crazy stories to go with them.

This is the team cheer in the backyard

Here they are "bricking" the stepping stones with mud. Where they learned this I will never know.

This is Nick throwing the ball. He has learned how to pitch like the big boys do. When asked where he learned it he said "on tv watching the big boys" As the mom you are supposed to know these things.

This Caroline playing catch with John and Nick. She can throw as well as nick can. She is working on the catching thing. She is still a girly girl bc it doesn't hold her attention for long.

As I said no attention for bball. She took off to make a sand castle. Check out the dirty legs/

Our dog Sallie's name changes depending on what sport she is playing. Here she is baseball Sallie. She is trying to catch the ball before Nick gets it. Then she returns it to who ever throws it. The kids love it.

Just to make you laugh here is our stinky feet picture. Bet you can't guess whose feet are whose?

TO recap it was 78 here today and the kids played outside all day. They dug for worms and found several which she made a home for. I think they are already dead. When John got home the yard turned into "Ankee field" yes that should yankee field, but you just have to love Nick. And they played ball until it got dark.

Sickness go away!

Update from the infirmary...Nick started vomitting again last night about 11:30 and Caroline started this morning. So we are still sick here.

All my test results came back negative which is good. I don't have lupus or Rheumatoid Arthritis. By deduction I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I will start physical therapy next week. John and I have worried a lot about this and fibromyalgia is not as bad as it could have been. So we are feeling better. Thanks for everyone's prayers! I really appreciate them.

Getting ready.

Today we are taking care of Nick. He started vomitting Tues night and it went on all night. Caroline is the only one who got any sleep. As I write this Nick is sleeping in my bed with Caroline sitting beside him making sure he is ok. Twins!!! HOpefully he will be feeling better tomorrow.

We had our first baseball practice last night. Nick and Caroline are playing on the Yankees and John is coaching. Both the kids did great hitting and catching. John also did a great job coaching. He seems to really enjoy it.

Big lot toys are the best!

The kids got these really "cool" fishing polls at big lots today. They had a lot of fun fishing in the pan.

Nick was very disappointed this morning because baseball practice was cancelled. It stopped around 2:00 and they played outside the rest of the day.

We spent the afternoon cleaning the garage up and putting out trash for big trash pickup. I haven't been able to park in the garage for about 2 years now....John can't wait to get the van in.

Baseball is here!

Baseball starts tomorrow (if it doesn't rain). I gave Nick a haircut today at John's request. It is always an adventure and of course he moved and I had to give him a long buzz.

The kids are very excited about baseball. They are both playing and John is coaching. Mollie is also playing and her Dad is helping coach.

It is very warm here today. As you can tell from the picture Caroline thinks it is summer. Ok I can't find the picture. She thinks it is summer I will let you use your imagination. We enjoyed playing outside and "planting a garden". The kids found seeds in the garage and planted the seeds. What fun.

Welcome Baby Reed!!!!!!

Wanted to let everyone know we welcomed Baby Reed into the world today. (In case you don't know who that is... my best frield Melanie delivered her second child today.)

I forgot the glasses!

We picked Caroline's glasses up today and she looks beautiful. Of course she keeps taking them off, but they said that was normal. Enjoy!

She looks thrilled doesn't she? She is doing better than I thought she would.

Happy 5th birthday!

Friday (feb 9) was Nick, Caroline and Riley's birthday. Happy Birthday! Nick and Caroline woke up to a house of decorations and doughnuts with candles. Their friend Mollie pick them up and took them for a day of fun. Friday evening we all went bowling and played in the arcade. Saturday morning Caroline had her tea party and Nick went to the Hummer truck lot.

The tea party was a great success. Caroline and Mollie had pb&j sand, and Lesley and I had chicken sand. The girls got all dressed up and looked beautiful.

NIck had the best time of his life at the Hummer truck lot. He went for a test drive on their track which is a rocky hill. He said that was the best part. They gave him a t shirt, poster, hotwheels hummer trucks, and a magazine. John couldn't believe how great they were and how much fun Nick had.

We had a small party in the afternoon with family. Caroline had a 12 dancing Princesses cake and Nick had lightening McQueen cake. Believe it or not they made and decorated their cakes themselves. They got lots of gift cards for movies, bowling, chuckie Cheese, blockbuster, build a bear. Needless to say it was a success.

School!

I don't have any pics today, but thought I would update you anyway. This morning we registered for school. The kids are very excited. They got to see the lunch room and hall. It also snowed and we got to play in it. Nick made snowangels on the sidewalk. It has been a good couple of days.

Not a lot going on here. Trying to get the house organized for the new year and get all the toys put where they go and getting ready for THE BIG BIRTHDAY. That is what the kids are calling their 5th birthday. We are also counting down the arrival of baby Uhls #2. Melanie has about 6 weeks left. It is very exciting.

We have been spending a lot of time with Mollie and Gabe. This is a cute pic of Mollie and Caroline watching tv together.

Happy Holidays

Ok Aunt Carol we got your message!

The Potts' family had a wonderful Christmas. We saw the live nativity (activity as Caroline calls it) The kids talked about the story of Jesus all the way home. We made cookies. This was a lot of fun, although John and I decorated most of them. We drove around looking at lights while singing Christmas carols and talking. These were some of the most memorable times. The kids got the message this year that Christmas is "not about the presents" and they told everyone. This was nice to see. John and I were very proud of them.

The Potts' family came over for Christmas eve. We watched football and talked, while the kids played. They got ready for santa by putting out milk and cookies and putting Reindeer food out for Rudolph. We read the Night before Christmas and the story of Jesus. Then it was off to bed. It took forever to get Caroline to sleep.

Christmas morning brought gifts from Santa. 3 for each just like the wise men gave Baby Jesus. Nick got golf clubs, an emergency station, and a baseball mat that hangs on the wall. Caroline got 12 dancing princesses castle, barbie, and barbie styling head. They were both very excited.

Then we headed off to L'burg. Everyone had a great time, especially the kids. Then it was off to Helen and Dave's. It was a wonderful day.

Tuesday Don, Vicki and the girls came home. So we had Christmas again. It has been a crazy few weeks, but fun at the same time. We are starting to get back into a routine.

Hello! Melanie told me I needed to update my blog so here it is. We had a great Thanksgiving. I cooked and had the Potts' family over. I didn't burn the Turkey which was an accomplishment. The kids enjoyed the whole day especially the parade. On Friday we went to L'burg and visited with Jean Carol and we got to meet Baby Alex. He is gorgeous and very sweet. The kids had a blast playing with Skylar and Jaryn.

I had to work Sat and Sun, but John and the kids put the Christmas tree together on Sat and when I got home from work we decorated it. I think this year will be the worst year yet with the tree. They won't leave it alone!

I took them outside and took pictures with a string of lights. They were not very cooperative, but a couple turned out.

Today we decorated outside and cleaned the house. Needless to say the kids are very excited about Christmas. Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!

New York, New York

I got to go to New York City my last night in Jersey. Oh my goodness....I had so much fun inspite of feeling really bad. I have a sinus infection I think and starting feeling bad on tuesday! But I loaded up on meds and headed into the city.

There were 5 of us that went. Kathy had lived in New York for 3 years so she made us feel better and safer. I can not put into words what it was like. It is awesome. We took a bus tour that lasted 3 hours. The only thing we didn't see was Central Park. Ground zero was very moving! It just has a different feeling than the rest of the city. WE started in Time Square. That was beautiful. The lights are crazy. They are everywhere. I took pics but they didn't really come out that good. I can't wait to go back and get to see it during the day and go to the museums, the parks, statue of Liberty, and other things that are better during the day.

My trip was successful, although I'm very glad to be home. The kids met me at the airport and ran and jumped on me. I was very excited to see them. I hope you enjoy the pictures from New York.

Just a quick note to let everyone know I arrived in New Jersey. If you didn't know about my trip I am going to EK Success (probably the biggest scrapbooking company) to receive my certification in Scrapbooking Design and U classes. This will enable me to teach these classes at the store. I will be here until Wednesday. I miss my family, but am excited about the opportunity.

We're back!

I'm not even going to start with an apology. I know it has been forever since I posted. Lots has been going on. The kids finished T-ball and their last soccer game is this Saturday. They are excited because they are getting trophies.

This is Sidney and Kennedy the last night of t-ball. They had a lot of fun. Here are their trophies. It was the best part of t-ball. This is a pic of the kids friends Mollie and Gabe. Mollie played t-ball with them. We could not keep the girls on the field. They were so funny. I think they will be good friends for a very long time. They get along very good.

We have been to the pumpkin patch. I threw out pumpkin away today because it was rotten. We went on a hay ride and the kids played on this huge hay pile. This is one of my favorite pictures of Nick.

We also went trick or treating at the zoo. This is our new family photo. Aren't we cute. In case you can't tell Nick is a race car driver and Caroline is Belle. It was cold, but we had fun.

Caroline was very excited about having her picture made with Snow White.

John has been out of town this week on a golf trip. The kids got to pick something special they wanted to do, so Caroline chose Build a bear and Nick chose the baseball museum. On Sunday Caroline painted a bedside table for her room, then we went to Skylar's birthday party in L'burg.

Here we are at the baseball museum. I don't think Nick enjoyed it as much as he thought he would. The factory was loud and he had to wear ear plugs. His favorite part was the real life baseball field. They had life size baseball players in their positions. It was very neat.

Monday night we went to Build a bear. They got new animals and clothes. They had a great time. Then we went to tumbleweed to eat.

Tuesday night we went to a halloween party with Mollie and Gabe. They had a craft, games, and spaghetti with eyeballs in it. Yuck!

In case you haven't seen Melanie's blog....The Uhls Family is expecting a new baby boy in March! We are very excited.
